University Police have reported a suspicious person unaffiliated with Wake Forest University entering unlocked spaces on campus without permission, including a faculty member’s office and the philosophy department library in Tribble Hall. He also has been reported in Benson Center. There is no indication that he has accessed any residence halls.
The individual is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing dress-casual clothing. He has been seen carrying items that make him look like he fits into our community, including memo pads, magazines and clipboards. He may be wearing a lanyard with an ID card and has falsely identified himself as a contract employee. He was last seen on campus on Tuesday, Jan. 21 in Tribble.
If you see this individual, do not approach him. Immediately call UPD’s emergency number (336) 758-5911 (If using a campus phone, dial 5911), or use a DEACStation Bluelight phone or the WakeSafe app.
