A winter weather advisory is in effect for portions of the North Carolina Piedmont, including the Triad through 10 a.m. this morning. There is a possibility of light freezing rain. Icy conditions are possible with light ice and slick spots on bridges and elevated roadways. Motorists should allow extra travel time.
